It's awesome. I need to request that Sam helps me do a photoshoot before I go off to school. I think I'll end up using it as a fallback Halloween outfit provided I can make proper wings in time. I DID get a pair made while I was there, but they didn't match and I decided to nix them. Got compliments and a young lady who makes wings freaked out and demanded I take her business card, which is always useful~!
I'm now addicted to Mabinogi after my parents FINALLY switched interwebs and my grandfather moved out. So signal and Mbps are strong and pumping that addiction through my flat vision toob here. I have to say, the best part is definitely the music. I'd say weaving was, but good GOD does it take forever to get ANYWHERE with it. *shrug* I'll just have to keep at it.
Saturday is my birthday, I'll be 20. And may I say, Holy Shit. We're low on funds so I'm getting a watch I just picked out today, I'm really rough on watches and constantly am in need of one. My parents are always bothering me about 'doing something' on my birthday, but often the plans end up sucking so much bum. Except for the one birthday I spent almost alone and went to see The Brother's Grimm. That, that was a good one. So I'm going to try a repeat and see about driving 45min. to get to a decent theatre that is playing Ponyo and munching on Panera Bread, since I'm craving their food thanks to a friend and her munchies....
Art wise....hmm...I was SUPPOSED to be drawing figure studies all summer, but I didn't and I'm just getting started. I do not like to draw. Which is slightly odd. I like to doodle. I like to sew. But I don't have the patience to sit down and draw, which makes my drawing classes hell, especially when I don't have an mp3 player to distract/calm me. But I've still yet to get my drawings from last year up here, or have photos taken.
Sewing news... aside from the fairy and civil war outfit... I've been making simple reversible tote bags from fabric samples I have, they've turned out nice and I'm thinking about selling them. Big thing that's happened, I now have a sewing room. Which is nice, I just finished cleaning it out. And, my father finally rewired a sewing machine we picked up at a Goodwill for $10. It's wonderful, best machine I've had yet. Tension is perfect, the speed is only slightly slow. And all but one of the original presserfeet came with it, plus two extra, a ruffling foot (HOMGWTFBBQYESSSSSSS!!!) and a binding foot. It straight stitches, back stitches, and zig-zags but oh is it wonderful. Solid too. REALLY heavy to get up the stairs, but that makes it run smooth, no wiggles and kicks like my portable Brother. It's unforunately mounted in a table, so I can't take it with me to school, but it'll be waiting for me at home.... *sigh*
